National Grief Awareness Week, which is organised by The Good Grief Trust, takes place between the 2 and 8 December 2024. It’s a time to shine a light on the people, places and projects that are going above and beyond to make a difference to those who are grieving.

Here at Good Thinking, we understand the impact of bereavement on mental health and the importance of opening up conversations about grief. Over the last few years, we’ve developed a broad range of bereavement resources for Londoners who have lost loved ones, including guides for adults, young people and faith communities.

As Dr Lucy Selman, Associate Professor at the University of Bristol, notes, “Grief is not a medical condition – it is a fundamental part of being human.’

We hope you find this article, which signposts to all the Good Thinking bereavement resources, helpful. Social connection plays a vital role when coping with loss so please don’t hesitate to ask for help – from family, friends, employers and support organisations.

You can find out more about #NationalGriefAwarenessWeek on social media.
