An important message from Good Thinking
We regret to inform you that the Good Thinking service will be closing on 31 January 2026. This has been a difficult decision after eight years of supporting Londoners.
If you’re struggling with your mental health, please visit Every Mind Matters or Hub of Hope, or contact your GP, NHS 111, or the mental health team in your borough. For more information about the closure, read our FAQs.We have created an archive of the Good Thinking website for healthcare professionals.Approved by
Why is Good Thinking coming to an end?
Changes within the NHS have affected funding for Good Thinking, which means we’re no longer able to continue the service. This has been a difficult decision after eight years of helping more than 850,000 Londoners and we’d like to thank our team and partners for all their hard work.
How long will the Good Thinking website be available?
The website will be available until 31 January 2026. From 1 February, there will be a web page that signposts Londoners to other mental health support organisations.
What will happen to the Good Thinking social media channels and newsletter?
Our social media activity will come to an end in October 2025 and we will no longer be sending out newsletters.
Will the free NHS-approved apps still be available to Londoners after the closure?
The apps recommended by Good Thinking, which we provide for free thanks to our partnerships with the app providers, will be accessible via the website until 31 January 2026. After that date, links to the app providers’ websites and details of the app costs will be included on our signposting page.
Where else can Londoners go for mental health support?
There is lots of support available for Londoners who are struggling with their mental health. Your GP is a good place to start or you can contact your local mental health team (search online using your postcode).
Other support organisations include:
Hub of Hope (mental health support directory)
What has Good Thinking achieved over the last eight years?
Good Thinking has supported more than 850,000 Londoners since 2017, helping to prevent feelings of anxiety, low mood and stress, and poor sleep, from getting worse.
