A service across eight London boroughs that supports victims and witnesses affected by all forms of hate crime

What is Stop Hate UK?

Stop Hate UK works to tackle discrimination, by providing individual support and encouraging reporting of hate crimes. The service is an alternative for those who don't want to report hate crime directly to the police. 


You can contact the 24 hour helpline for all forms of hate crime: 0800 138 1625S

Specific numbers are available for:

  • Learning disability hate crime: 0808 802 1155
  • LGBT hate crime: 0808 801 0661


Additional means of contacting the service include: web chat, email, text and post. Text relay and BSL are available for those with hearing impairments. This service is available to members of Queen Mary University and the following London boroughs:

  • Greenwich
  • Barking & Dagenham
  • Hackney
  • Hammersmith & Fulham
  • Harrow
  • Havering
  • Richmond
  • Sutton
