7-13 February is Children’s Mental Health Week, an annual event to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and wellbeing amongst children and young people.

The theme of this years’ event is Growing Together. The past couple of years have been an extremely challenging time for everyone. Children and young people have faced disruption to their school life and education as well as long periods of separation from their friends and relatives. We’ve all had to adapt to different ways of living, working, studying and socialising – and Growing Together is about how we’ve all grown and addressed these challenges over the past couple of years, as well as how we can support one another to continue growing in the future.

Children’s Mental Health Week is led by Place2Be, a provider of mental health services in schools across the UK for over 25 years. They have a range of resources available throughout the week designed for parents, carers, teachers and young people themselves.

Good Thinking also has a set of resources designed to support the mental health and wellbeing of young people across London. Take a look through our range of free apps and podcasts specifically designed for young people. We also have tips for better mental wellbeing on a wide range of topics, including bullying, eating disorders, bereavement and identifying fake news.

If you’re a parent or carer for a young person, we have a range of resources designed to support you in helping your child manage anxiety, stress, sleep problems or low mood.

And if you’re a young person aged 15-25 years and are feeling up for the challenge, we’re looking for Digital Health Ambassadors to help us to ensure that young Londoners have a voice in creating change and engaging in conversations that affect public policy across the mental health space. Find out more and get in touch.
